Jezebel is Tygrrr's "wife"! She has never been known *not* to purr...she does it 24 hours a day. I rescued her from an abusive household when Tygrrr was 1.5 & she was 6 months old & it was definitley love at first sight...they even used the litter box at the same time! (yeesh...) Tygrrr & Jez had 3 litters of kittens in the 13 years they lived together...I wish that i'd gotten them both "fixed" sooner as I have to say I feel guilty about contributing to the over population of kats in this world. I was very dilligent in finding good homes for each & every one of them mind you & kept one myself - Garbo.

Garbo is Tygrrr & Jezebel's daughter from the second litter they had together. She's named after the actress Greta Garbo, who was quoted as saying "I just want to be let alone"...not "left alone"...big diff there! Garbo is just like that. She loves affection & being affectionate but it's got to be on her terms or not at all.

Dateline August 15.98 - For 3 days there's been a feint mewing outside in our back courtyard. Sent the boyfriend to check it out, and now we have a new kitten, Zasu

Dateline April 17.99 - Jezebel recently became deathly ill with liver problems... after 2 weeks of excellent treatment at The Blue Cross Animal Clinic in Ontario & home care based on naturopathy she's made a recovery that was not part of the prognosis.

Dateline August 2002 - Jezebel developed cancer and was treated at home with steroids to keep the swelling of the tumours down. Nothing more aggressive was done due to her age and the fact that the cancer was in so many locations. She was 17.

Dateline August 2003 - Garbo was diagnosed with kidney disease and responded well to home subqutaneous treatments for over a year, but succumbed to a sudden, untreatable cancer at age 17.5.

Saying goodbye to this little family of cats has been really hard but our spirits have been kept up by Zasu, and her new friends, Finn, and Bonk.
